1 can (28 oz) tomato puree 1 pkg (12 oz) silken tofu (Mori-Nu, soft or firm) 1¼ cups water 1 tsp honey 1 tsp salt 1 Tb onion powder ½ tsp garlic powder ½ tsp basil ¼ tsp thyme 1 cup cooked brown rice or barley (optional)
Heat tomato puree of medium-low heat. Blend remaining ingredients (except rice/barley) until smooth. Add blended mixture to warm tomato puree along with optional rice or barley. Stir through and heat until warm. Serve immediately. Serves 4-6. |
